Wicked is one of the most magical musicals in the West End at the moment. The story line tells of the prequel of ‘The Wizard of Oz’ and takes the audience back to the death of the Wicked Witch of the West. The whole show is a superb musical extravaganza and is most definitely a must see show. Wicked is a top favourite for audience members of any age.

Billy Elliot is another British classic. The musical tells the story of 1980’s Britain and the struggle of the one boy’s struggle growing up in a miner’s community during the Thatcher period. Set in County Durham the plot tells of a parent’s disapproval of their son’s poor performance in boxing and love for ballet. The story line highlights the struggle to become one of the best dancers in the country and the journey of opposition to support.

So whether you love them or loathe them Musicals are a large part of London. This is only a small selection of shows available in London at the moment that I have enjoyed.
