- "Psycho" (1960) Directed by Alfred Hitchcock, “Psycho” involves a motel proprietor with mother issues and a young woman who has stolen several thousand dollars from one of her employer’s clients. Anthony Perkins, Janet Leigh and Vera Miles are the stars of this film.
- "Casablanca" (1942) The stars of this movies are Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman and Paul Henreid. “Casablanca” is a film about an expatriate from America who meets a former lover.
- "Citizen Kane" (1941) News reporters attempt to figure out the meaning of a publishing tycoon’s last words before his death. Orson Welles directed and helped write this movie. He also starred in the movie alongside Joseph Cotten and Dorothy Comingore.
- "City Lights" (1931) Possibly Charles Chaplin’s greatest film, “City Lights” is a movie about a tramp who falls in love with a blind flower girl. Charles Chaplin stars as the tramp and Virginia Cherrill plays the blind flower girl.
- "It Happened One Night" (1934) A reporter looking for a story falls for a spoiled heiress. Frank Capra is the director of this film and the stars are Clark Gable, Claudette Colbert and Walter Connolly.
- "Gone With the Wind" (1939) During the Civil War, a devious woman and an impish man have a love affair with one another. Clark Gable, Vivien Leigh and Thomas Mitchell are the stars of this movie.
- "King Kong" (1933) The stars of this film are Fay Wray, Robert Armstrong and Bruce Cabot. “King Kong” is the story of a giant gorilla who becomes very fond of the leading lady.
- "Frankenstein" (1931) Directed by James Whale, “Frankenstein” is the classic film about a mad scientist who creates a living human being by assembling him out of body parts, which he took from corpses. Colin Clive, Mae Clarke and Boris Karloff are the stars of this film.
- "The Bride of Frankenstein" (1935) The main characters of “Frankenstein” return in “Bride of Frankenstein.” In this film, the scientist builds a female mate for his monster.
Nobody can dispute a good old fashion comedy, or anything with Cary Grant or Clark Gable. Or a good, sweaty western. But if you're a film noir fan, you already know about the black and white beauty films (and necessity in many cases) on celluloid
